Recent research points to impaired development of Executive Function (EF) as a key factor preventing schools from closing of the 'achievement gap' and realizing turning arounds.

However, schools lack the tools they need to manage EF Readiness.

What We've Achieved

  • Conducted a pilot study mapping EF Readiness in 4th graders and the impact on mastering various Common Core standards (even with special tutoring).
  • Developed a new technique to measure EF development.
  • Created a portable means to assess EF development in schools in real time.
  • Identified a pedagogical method for EF development that can expand teacher's repertoire.
